Looking for some Special Jewelry?

This wonderful hand made bracelet is comprised of six emerald cut blue topaz gemstones set in fired enameled filigree stations. The bracelet is 24k Gold over sterling silver, and features a safety chain. The blue topaz stones are set east to west, each in its own station or link.

Designer Barbara Garwood carefully draws each design, considering the unique skills of the artisans and her inspiration from the Word of God. Her ministry supports over 60 artisans in Mongolia, who work exclusively for Barbara manufacturing these exquisite pieces. Because of the high amount of work required to produce each piece, and the desires of younger generations to find success in major cities, it is no longer possible to attract new artisans into the trade. Over the next ten years, it is expected that production of these fine pieces will become increasingly difficult.

While in Mongolia, Barbara takes the time to personally share the Gospel whenever the opportunity arises. By purchasing these pieces, you are actively supporting the spread of the Gospel in Mongolia.

Happy Thanksgiving

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good..." Psalm 100:4, 5a

Thanksgiving thoughts are the kind of thoughts that we should have all year long. For it is the folks with thankful hearts whose lives are filled with song. We should take time for kindness to those we hold most dear, and just extend a helping hand to others through the year. Let's set aside some quiet time and share it with a friend. For friendships bring a special joy and pleasure without end. So may the blessings of this day that I would ask for you, now fill you with Thanksgiving Peace that lasts the whole year through! - anonymous

From the staff at Logos to You and Yours, Have a very Joyous Thankgiving Day.

Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord.....

Advent Wreath
The season of Advent, the time of preparation for the coming of Christ at Christmas, begins on a different date each year. The First Sunday in Advent, 2009, is Sunday, November 29.

· November 29 - First Sunday of Advent
· December 6 - Second Sunday of Advent
· December 13 - Third Sunday of Advent
· December 20 - Fourth Sunday of Advent

Advent is a period of spiritual preparation in which Christians make themselves ready for the coming, or birth of the Lord, Jesus Christ. During this time, Christians observe a season of prayer, fasting and repentance, followed by anticipation, hope and joy.

Christians celebrate advent not only by thanking God for Christ's first coming to Earth as a baby, but also for his presence among us today through the Holy Spirit, and in preparation and anticipation of his final coming at the end of time.

Come thou long expected Jesus....

Chocolate Filled Advent Calendar Observe Advent as a family by marking each day with a devotional time and prayer.

Use an Advent Calendar and/or Advent Wreath to help celebrate and remember that the real Reason for the Season is Jesus Christ.

Walking With God

I just finished reading John Eldrige's Walking With God and am now on to Wild At Heart. Eldridge has a way of redeeming a man's heart, showing him how to live the Christian life, without compromising his masculinity. I highly recommend both books! See the publisher's review of Walking With God and a link to a sample chapter below.....

“This is a series of stories of what it looks like to walk with God, over the course of about a year.”

So begins a remarkable narrative of one man’s journey learning to hear the voice of God. In Walking wtih God by John Eldredge, the details are intimate and personal. The invitation is for us all. What if we could hear from God . . . often? What difference would it make?

All day long we are making choices. It adds up to an enormous amount of decisions in a lifetime. How do we know what to do?

We have two options.

We can trudge through on our own, doing our best to figure it all out.

Or, we can walk with God. As in, learn to hear his voice. Really. We can live life with God. He offers to speak to us and guide us. Every day. It is an incredible offer. To accept that offer is to enter into an adventure filled with joy and risk, transformation and breakthrough. And more clarity than we ever thought possible.
